Introduction Email Marketing Price
If I asked you to name an email Marketing instrument, what would you say? Email Marketing Price
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?
Like many online businesses now, email marketing continues to be Dominated by the same big players for the previous decade. Which means that they get promoted very heavily and accomplish a lot of mindshare.
Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the market, causing long-time users to question their loyalties.

Like most email advertising providers Nowadays, You’ll Need to Go through a review process before being able to properly use the software.
When you first register, you’ll be asked to finish your profile.
This includes information such as your organization name, site, Industry, address, company size, list size and also the kind of material you plan to send.
Then, you need to verify your Site (or domain ).
This remains part of the approval process, and MailerLite will Simply ask which email is related to that domain so they could email you a confirmation link.
Once you’ve completed those Steps, you’ll need to wait it out.
The MailerLite team will review your application, check your Website, and determine whether you’re a good fit for their service.
(In other words, they are making sure you are not a spammer/scammer)
As shown above, you’ll nevertheless be Able to use the software to make campaigns and play with the features, but you won’t be able to send anything until accepted.
I had been”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limitation of 500 subscribers.
Here’s what the email said:
But while these measures are not ideal for getting started, it Does help prevent unscrupulous users from hurting everyone else’s deliverability.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll rely on automations to Deal with Nearly all your email advertising.
(We’ll get to automations soon, do not worry.)
But whether it’s a brand new blog article, podcast, or timely Announcement, there is always some excuse to send a more immediate email.
That is where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the new’Create Campaign’ will give you several choices.
– Regular effort: A Conventional broadcast email.
– A/B split effort: Multiple email Variations, including subject line, from title and, yes, even content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to subscribers who Don’t open your broadcast email, with the option of changing the subject line and email articles.
– RSS effort: Produce a recurring campaign That sends new content to subscribers using your site’s RSS feed.
Apart from a few additional options, most of these will follow The exact same step-by-step process of a standard effort.
So let’s walk you through it.
Once you click on to create your campaign, you’ll be asked to Pick a favorite editor, whether that’s the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
You can switch to the Templates tab and select from one of the pre-designed email templates — that will move you into the dragn’ drop editor .
At the time of writing, there are 21 email templates to choose From which is somewhat on the low side, but the layouts are super contemporary.
And, of course, if you’d just Like to reuse a previous email, you can click the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this example, I will choose the first template from the library.
The editor is easy to work with, Making viewing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also use the cubes in the sidebar to include distinct Kinds of articles to your email, including videos, product columns, and social connections.
After making your adjustments, just click’Done Editing’ and you’ll Be taken to the recipients’ choices where you can choose your groups or segments.
The tab also allows you To develop segment-like rules on-the-fly, in case your targeting isn’t quite right.
Finally, before sending, you’ll get to the’Schedule’ screen.
This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, whether that is immediately, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your subscribers time zones.
Impressive, right? Email Marketing Price
Managing Your Subscribers
Having granular control over your readers is arguably one of The most important facets of any email marketing software now.
Because highly personalized campaigns are necessary if You’re looking to increase opens, clicks, and, most importantly, your own conversions.
And while most providers allow you to”label” readers in order To target them more effectively, MailerLite utilizes a slightly different strategy.
When you start up your subscriber dashboard, you’ll notice two Choices; Segments and Groups.
Segments are basically rules.
Your readers belong to a segment only when they meet the Specified rules, and will be automatically inserted or removed so.
Here is what establishing a rule looks like:
Notice how you can even blend Rules, in addition to another rule when the first does not exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The following tab is for groups, and despite the difference in title, These act much like your normal”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the title to’Tags’, but ultimately decided against it)
Contrary to Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or through an Automation principle — that we will get into in a moment — and they don’t have any value besides what you actually call them.
As you start to use this stage, you’ll Start to understand At which Segments and Groups are typically used, however, MailerLite offers a hand in case you’re uncertain:
Basically, groups are much more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber foundation, whereas Segments permit you to lump multiple contributors together according to a common denominator.
Somewhat confusing, I will admit… but I feel it’s a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. Besides, they are optional.
Finally, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You will notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their own areas, such as name, business, and nation.
If You Would like to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they actually work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your subscribers together with Your custom field data in separate columns… or may simply add these fields to your types which will only apply to future readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test area I created and added to a form:
I will not go too much to the shape Things here because I have a whole section on this below, but this is the approach I would recommend if you wished to use this attribute.
Again, as Soon as You’ve collected your custom field data from fresh Readers, you can pull them into your email content and subject line.
Just click on the’Personalization’ drop down and choose your Custom field.
I am barely scraping the surface Of what is possible with custom fields, but it is important to understand this is a feature you may use.
Overall, it’s reasonable to say MailerLite has their contributor Direction and personalization features on stage. Email Marketing Price
If you’re not impressed with what you have seen so far, then maybe The page builder will tickle your fancy.
After choosing’Landing Pages’ in the forms page, then you’ll be Able to pick from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template choice Isn’t winning any awards, but it will offer a great foundation to work from if, for example the majority of us, you do not have that pure eye for layout.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, however They ultimately do the identical task; accumulate an email address.
This time, the editor will give you 17 building blocks to Further build or alter your landing page.
Now, I’ve used my fair share of Visual page builders, and it is already better than a few dedicated solutions *cough* WPBakery.
Along with the basic building blocks, you can use elements like Hero segments, popup buttons, reviews and countdown timers.
No, it will not be replacing landing Page builders such as Thrive Architect or LeadPagesanytime shortly, but credit where credit due, this item over-delivers on all 3 form types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email advertising tools, MailerLite actually offers a Decent pair of type building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this exact same interface, so there’s a whole lot to cover .
Let us begin with your Bog-standard embedded form.
These forms are created inside MailerLite in order to get An embed code, which you can then put on your site to show it on particular pages.
Despite beginning super fundamental, the form designer lets you To customize everything in the form style, fields, background, title, enter fields and, of course, the button.
Form text may also be edited directly, which gives you a chance To envision your own backup in real-time.
It would have been nice to have Some templates, but as you know, there’s more to a form than just its appearance.
Clicking the’Settings’ tab will allow you to configure how the Form works, such as adding additional fields and setting a custom success page.
(There’s even a GDPR compliance alternative. Sweet.)
And speaking of the success page…
…MailerLite also lets you customize the default message, Which can replace the embedded kind and prevents users .
Last but certainly not least, you Can assess how your form displays on cellular by switching the toggle to reactive mode.
You won’t Have the Ability to make any design changes here, but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that’s an overview of this Embedded form but like I said before, you may even create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the majority of this setup process is identical, you will find Still a few differences I’d like to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most Comprehensive choice, they do provide a fantastic foundation to work from and the editor is at least as simple to use for this form kind.
Clicking the’E-commerce’ template requires me into a preview Before moving to the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are a few new choices under form types This time around:
Contemplating paid tools such as Thrive Leads exist for both ribbons and slide-in forms, it is pretty impressive to observe this level of control over popup types.
And, like before, you can play with the styling options to get it Matched with your own branding.
Finally, you can choose the near Behaviour of your type under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is that the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text choice, or have .
That is really where most email Marketing platforms would render you, but MailerLite has one more trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like many tools, you’ll find a summary of your campaign Data in the dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from effort open and click data, Subscriber growth, automation analytics, and kind signups.
Clicking into any effort will Give you specific coverage for this campaign.
This is where you’ll find a few more advanced statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, studying environment, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the ordinary user…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, you can click into different areas of this report for a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems beneath These reports.
For example, the’View Email’ tab also shows a click map, so You can see your subscribers interacted with your emails compared to another.
Reports for automations are Accessible under the’Automations’ tab, even though I found to be less insightful than campaign reports.
Here’s a Fast example:
Total, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting port, and many will get the available data more than enough to meet their needs.
What’s email marketing with no dashboard of automation?
For many reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could easily make or break this review.
The great news? If you have used a visual workflow builder, then You will immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is simple, clean and simple to navigate — something that certainly can not be said for every email marketing software.
After establishing your trigger, you can begin adding measures to your workflow.
These measures can be anything from sending an email, adding a Postpone, a conditional split, or an act, such as transferring a contributor or updating their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I put together, where readers Are unsubscribed if they don’t open my email within seven days.
There are innumerable Possibilities when it comes to workflow automations like this, and MailerLite ought to have no trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something like ActiveCampaign since it lacks some of the conditional elements. (Split, Visit, Goal, etc.)
For example, there’s now no automation for moving Subscribers directly into a different automation.
That being said, most of these actions can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into various groups that trigger new automation workflows. It’s simply much less effective…. yet.
Another question of efficiency here is when creating new emails In the automation workflow builder.
After having an email block to The workflow, you’ll be asked to put in your topic line which appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking on the’Design email’ button will automatically fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be briefly Redirected to the standard campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the critique.
This time, however, as Soon as You’ve established your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will direct you straight back into the automations workflow instead of the usual sending options.
Finally, your email address will be Loaded into your automation.
A nice touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation block, which means you can get an idea about what it contains at a glimpse.
While this process may seem like A grind on paper, it is actually much faster than what I’m used to with other email advertising tools — ActiveCampaign being a great example.
On the other hand, if you’ve come over from something like ConvertKit where The editor is loaded within the automations builder, so you will likely find this a downgrade in functionality.
It’s fast enough for me, Personally, however I guess it’s all relative.
Before I wrap up this section, there’s one type of automation You won’t find in MailerLite, and I think that it’s very important to highlight.
The ability to trigger an automation (or measure ) based on how Readers interact with all the webpages on your website.
This kind of behavioral targeting just is not available in MailerLite right now, so if it’s something you use or intend to use, you might want to skip this one. Email Marketing Price
The Price of MailerLite is undoubtedly one of the tools biggest Selling things, and let us face it, most of us love a good deal.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All features (including premium) to get up to 1,000 subscribers.
While There’s some subtle Branding on your mails using this program, it is still an wonderful option for those starting out.
And what about the premium programs?
It turns out, at approximately half the Price of this rivalry generally, MailerLite is by far among the cheapest options available on the industry. Additionally, if you are willing to pay annually, you can also get an even better discount.
In fact, I have not been able to locate anything that does the same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is one of those email marketing tools The (very crowded) industry in recent decades, and that’s no easy feat.
While it’s not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it works exceptionally well at just about anything you can throw at it.
Overall, I find MailerLite strikes the perfect balance Between flexibility, simplicity and speed, and all at a price point you will seriously struggle to conquer.
