Finally, before sending, then you’ll get into the’Schedule’ screen.
This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, whether that’s immediately, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your readers time zones.

Handling Your Subscribers

Unlike Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or via an Automation rule — which we will get into in a moment — and they don’t have any value besides what you call them.
As you Begin to use this stage, you’ll begin to understand At which Segments and Groups are generally used, but MailerLite delivers a hand in case you’re unsure:
Basically, groups are much more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber basis, whereas Segments permit you to bulge multiple contributors collectively based on a common denominator.
Somewhat confusing, I will admit… but I feel it’s a fair trade-off For the added flexibility. In any case, they are discretionary.
Last, the’Fields’ tab is used to personalize your email copy.
You will notice that MailerLite has Already populated this area with their own fields, such as name, company, and nation.
If You Would like to create your own custom fields, you can do so by Clicking on the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV record of your subscribers together with Your custom field information in distinct columns… or can simply add these fields to your forms which will only apply to future readers.

I won’t go too much to the form Things here because I have an entire section on that below, but this is the approach I would recommend if you wanted to use this attribute.
Again, once you’ve gathered your custom field data from fresh Readers, you can pull them in to your email content and subject line.
Just click on the’Personalization’ drop down and choose your Customized field.
I am barely scratching the surface Of what is possible with custom fields, but it is important to know this is a feature you may use.

If you’re not impressed by what you have seen up to Now, then maybe The webpage builder will tickle your fancy.
After selecting’Landing Pages’ in the forms page, you’ll be Able to select from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template selection Isn’t winning any awards, but it does offer a fantastic base to work from if, like most people, you don’t have that natural eye for design.

Here you’ll see everything from effort open and click data, Subscriber growth, automation stats, and form signups.
Clicking into any effort will Give you special coverage for this campaign.
This is where you’ll find some statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, reading environment, email client and much more.
This should be plenty of Information for the average consumer…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, it is possible to click into different areas of the report for a more comprehensive breakdown.
You can find some real gems under These reports.

The great news? If you have ever used a visual workflow builder, then You will instantly feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is easy, clean and easy to navigate — something that certainly can’t be said for every email advertising program.
After setting your trigger, you can Start adding measures to your workflow.
These steps could be anything from sending an email, adding a Delay, a bubble break, or an action, such as moving a contributor or upgrading their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I put together, where subscribers Are unsubscribed when they do not open my email within 7 days.
There are countless Possibilities in regards to workflow automations like this, and MailerLite should not have any trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it’s not quite as Feature-rich as something like ActiveCampaign because it lacks some of the conditional elements. (Split, Go To, Goal, etc.. )
For Instance, there’s currently no automation for moving Subscribers directly into a different automation.
That being said, most of these actions can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into different groups that trigger new automation workflows. It is just much less effective…. yet.
Another question of efficiency here is when generating new emails From the automation workflow builder.
After adding an email block to The workflow, you’ll be asked to add your subject line which then appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking on the’Design email’ button will fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be briefly Redirected to the standard campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the review.
This time, but as Soon as You’ve established your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will direct you back to the automations workflow instead of the usual sending options.
Ultimately, your email will be Loaded into your automation.
A nice touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email within your automation block, so you can find an concept of what it contains at a glance.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on newspaper, it’s really much faster than what I’m used to with other email marketing tools — ActiveCampaign being a fantastic example.
