When you first register, you’ll be asked to finish your profile.

Handling Your Subscribers

And while many providers allow you to”label” readers in order To target them more effectively, MailerLite uses a slightly different approach.
When you open up your subscriber dash, you’ll see two Options; Segments and Groups.
Segments are essentially principles.
Your subscribers belong to a section only when they meet the Specified rules, and will be automatically added or eliminated accordingly.

Notice the way you can also combine Principles, as well as an alternate rule if the first does not exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The following tab is for classes, and also the difference in name, These behave much like your normal”tagging” system.

Finally, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You will notice that MailerLite has Already populated this area with their own areas, such as name, company, and country.
If you want to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking on the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they actually work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your subscribers along with Your custom field data in distinct columns… or may simply add these fields to your types which will only apply to future readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test field I created and added to a form:
I will not go too much to the shape Things here since I have a whole section on this below, but this is the strategy I’d recommend if you wished to use this feature.
Again, as Soon as You’ve gathered your custom field data from fresh Subscribers, you are able to pull them into your email content and subject line.

It will not be replacing landing Page builders like Thrive Architect or LeadPagesanytime shortly, but credit where credit due, this thing over-delivers on all 3 kind types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email advertising tools, MailerLite really offers a Decent set of form building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this same interface, so there’s a whole lot to cover here.
Let us begin with your Bog-standard embedded form.
These forms are first created inside MailerLite so as to get An embed code, which you can then place on your website to show it on particular pages.

The default option is the X icon, but you can swap this out for A”No thanks” text choice, or have both.
That is really where most email Marketing platforms would leave you, but MailerLite has yet another trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like most tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Statistics in the dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from campaign open and click data, Subscriber growth, automation analytics, and form signups.
Clicking into any campaign will Give you specific coverage for that campaign.
This is where you’ll find some more advanced statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, studying surroundings, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the average consumer…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, you can click into individual areas of this report to get a more comprehensive breakdown.
You can find some real gems under These reports.
For example, the’View Mail’ tab also shows a click map, so It’s possible to see your readers interacted with your mails in relation to another.
Reports for automations are Available under the’Automations’ tab, even though I found these to be less insightful than campaign reports.

What is email advertising without a dash of automation?
For most reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this review.
The great news? If you have used a visual workflow builder, You’ll immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, The automations interface is easy, clean and simple to navigate — something which certainly can’t be said for each and every email marketing program.
After establishing your trigger, you can begin adding measures to your workflow.
These steps can be anything from sending an email, including a Postpone, a bubble break, or an action, like transferring a contributor or upgrading their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I put together, where readers Are unsubscribed if they do not open my email within 7 days.
There are countless Possibilities in regards to workflow automations like this, and MailerLite ought to not have any trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something like ActiveCampaign because it lacks some of the conditional components. (Split, Visit, Goal, etc.. )
For example, there’s currently no automation for transferring Readers directly into a different automation.
That being said, most of these actions can Nevertheless Be achieved by moving Subscribers into various classes that trigger new automation workflows. It is just not as efficient…. yet.
Another matter of efficiency here is when generating new emails From the automation workflow builder.

Now, you’ll be briefly Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the critique.
This time, however, as Soon as You’ve created your email, clicking the ‘Done editing’ button will guide you back to the automations workflow instead of the usual sending alternatives.
Finally, your email address will probably be Loaded into your own automation.
A nice touch here is having a thumbnail preview of your Email within your automation cube, which means it’s possible to get an idea about what it contains at a glance.

It is quick enough for me, Personally, however I guess it is all relative.
Before I wrap up this segment, there’s 1 type of automation You will not find in MailerLite, and that I think it’s important to highlight.
The ability to activate an automation (or step) based on how Subscribers interact with the webpages on your site.
This kind of behavioral targeting just isn’t available in MailerLite at this time, so if it’s something you use or intend to use, you might want to skip this one. Mailerlite Problems
The cost of MailerLite is no doubt one of those tools largest Selling points, and let’s face it, we all love a good deal.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All features (including premium) to get as many as 1,000 subscribers.
While There’s some subtle Branding on your emails using this plan, it’s still an amazing option for those starting out.
And what about the premium programs?
It turns out, at around half of the Cost of the rivalry on average, MailerLite is by far among the cheapest options on the market. Plus, if you are ready to pay annually, you can also get a much better discount.
In Reality, I haven’t been able to locate anything that does the Exact Same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is one of those email marketing tools to interrupt The (very crowded) sector in the last couple of years, which is no easy feat.
While it is not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it works exceptionally well at virtually anything you can throw at it.
I find MailerLite strikes the perfect balance Between flexibility, simplicity and speed, and all at a price point you will seriously struggle to beat.
