Fundamentally, groups are more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber basis, whereas Segments permit you to bulge multiple subscribers collectively based on a common denominator.
Somewhat confusing, I will admit… but I feel it’s a fair trade-off For the added flexibility. Besides, they are optional.
Finally, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You will notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their particular fields, such as name, company, and country.
If you want to create your own custom fields, you can do so by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your readers along with Your custom field information in separate columns… or can simply add these fields to your forms which will only apply to future readers.

I will not go too much to the form Things here since I have a whole section on this below, but this is the approach I would recommend if you wanted to use this attribute.

Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is easy, clean and simple to navigate — something that certainly can’t be said for every email advertising software.
After establishing your trigger, you can begin adding measures to your workflow.
These steps can be anything from sending an email, including a Postpone, a conditional split, or an act, such as moving a subscriber or upgrading their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I set together, where readers Are unsubscribed when they don’t open my email within seven days.
There are countless Possibilities in regards to workflow automations similar to this, and MailerLite should not have any trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something like ActiveCampaign since it lacks some of the conditional elements. (Split, Go To, Goal, etc.)
For example, there’s now no automation for moving Readers directly into another automation.
That being said, the Majority of these actions can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into different groups that trigger new automation workflows. It’s just not as efficient…. yet.
Another question of efficacy here is when generating new mails From the automation workflow builder.
After having an email block to The workflow, you will be asked to add your topic line that appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking on the’Design email’ button will automatically fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be temporarily Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the critique.
This time, but once you’ve created your email, clicking the ‘Done editing’ button will guide you straight back to the automations workflow instead of the usual sending options.
Ultimately, your email address will be Loaded into your automation.
A Wonderful touch here is having a thumbnail preview of your Email within your automation block, so it’s possible to get an idea about what it contains at a glance.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on paper, it is really much quicker than what I’m used to with other email marketing tools — ActiveCampaign being a great example.
