Like most email advertising providers Nowadays, you will need to Go through a review process before being able to properly use the software.
When you first register, you’ll be asked to complete your profile.
This includes information such as your company name, website, Business, address, company size, record size and even the kind of content you plan to send.
Then, you need to verify your Site (or domain name).
This is still part of the approval process, and MailerLite will Simply ask which email is associated to this domain so they could email you a confirmation link.
As Soon as You’ve completed these Measures, you’ll need to wait it out.
The MailerLite team will review your application, check your Site, and determine whether you’re a good fit for their services.
(Quite simply, they are making sure you’re not a spammer/scammer)

This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, if that is immediately, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your readers time zones.

Handling Your Subscribers
Possessing granular control over your subscribers is arguably among The most important facets of any email advertising program today.
Because highly personalized efforts Are Essential if You are looking to increase clicks, opens, and, above all, your conversions.
And while many providers allow you to”tag” readers in order To target them effectively, MailerLite utilizes a slightly different strategy.
When you open up your subscriber dash, you’ll see two Options; Segments and Groups.
Segments are basically principles.
Your subscribers belong to a section only when they meet the Specified principles, and will be automatically added or eliminated accordingly.

The following tab is for groups, and also the difference in title, These act much like your normal”tagging” system.

Unlike Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or via an Automation principle — that we’ll get to in a minute — and they don’t have any value aside from what you actually call them.
As you start to use this platform, you’ll begin to understand Where Segments and Groups are generally used, but MailerLite offers a hand in case you’re unsure:
Basically, groups are much more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber basis, whereas Segments allow you to lump multiple subscribers together based on a common denominator.
Somewhat confusing, I’ll admit… but I believe it’s a fair trade-off For the added flexibility. Besides, they’re optional.
Finally, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You’ll notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their own fields, such as title, company, and country.
If you want to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they actually work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your subscribers together with Your custom field data in distinct columns… or may easily add these fields to a types which will only apply to future subscribers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test field I created and added into a form:
I will not go too much into the form Stuff here because I have a whole section on this below, but this is the strategy I would recommend if you wished to use this feature.
Again, once you’ve collected your custom field information from fresh Readers, you can pull them into your email content and subject line.
Just click the’Personalization’ drop down and select your Customized field.
I’m barely scraping the surface Of what’s possible with custom fields, but it is important that you understand this is a feature you may use.

If you’re not impressed with what you have seen up to Now, then maybe The page builder will tickle your fancy.
After choosing’Landing Pages’ from the forms page, then you will be Able to pick from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template choice Is not winning any awards, but it does offer a great base to work from if, for example the majority of us, you do not have that pure eye for layout.

Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this exact same interface, so there is a whole lot to cover here.
Let’s begin with your Bog-standard embedded form.
These forms are first created inside MailerLite in order to get An embed code, which you can then put on your site to display it on particular pages.

This is really where most email Marketing platforms will render you, but MailerLite has one more trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like most tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Data in the main dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from campaign open and click data, Subscriber growth, automation analytics, and form signups.
Clicking into any effort will Give you special coverage for that effort.
This is where you’ll discover a few more advanced statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, studying environment, email client and much more.
This should be plenty of Information for the average user…

What is email marketing with no dashboard of automation?
For most reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this particular review.
The good news? If you have used a visual workflow builder, You will instantly feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is simple, clean and easy to navigate — something which certainly can’t be said for every email marketing program.
After setting your trigger, you can Start adding measures to your workflow.
These steps could be anything from sending an email, including a Delay, a conditional split, or an act, such as transferring a subscriber or upgrading their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I put together, where subscribers Are unsubscribed if they do not open my email within seven days.
There are innumerable Possibilities in regards to workflow automations like this, and MailerLite should have no trouble with the vast majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something such as ActiveCampaign since it lacks a number of the conditional elements. (Split, Go To, Goal, etc.. )
For Instance, there’s now no automation for moving Readers directly into a different automation.
That being said, most of these activities can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into different groups that trigger new automation workflows. It’s just much less effective…. yet.
Another matter of efficacy here is when generating new mails In the automation workflow builder.
After having an email cube to The workflow, you will be asked to add your topic line which appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking the’Design email’ button will fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be temporarily Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered earlier in the critique.
This time, however, as Soon as You’ve created your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will direct you back into the automations workflow rather than the usual sending alternatives.
Finally, your email address will probably be Loaded into your own automation.

The cost of MailerLite is undoubtedly one of those tools biggest Selling points, and let’s face it, most of us love a fantastic bargain.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All attributes (including premium) to get up to 1,000 subscribers.
While There’s some subtle Branding in your emails using this plan, it’s still an amazing alternative for those starting out.
And what about the top plans?
It turns out, at around half the Price of this competition on average, MailerLite is by far among the least expensive options available on the industry. Additionally, if you are ready to pay annually, you can also get a much better discount.
In Reality, I have not been able to find anything that does exactly the same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is among those very few advertising tools The (very crowded) industry in the last couple of decades, and that’s no easy feat.
While it is not as quickly as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it performs exceptionally well at virtually anything you can throw at it.
All in all, I find MailerLite strikes the best balance Between flexibility, speed and simplicity, and at a price point you will seriously struggle to conquer.
