When you first sign up, you’ll be asked to complete your profile.

Then, you need to verify your Site (or domain name).
This is still part of this acceptance process, and MailerLite will Simply ask which email is related to this domain in order that they can email you a confirmation link.

This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, whether that’s instantly, at a set time/date, or according to your subscribers time zones.

Managing Your Subscribers
Having granular control over your readers is arguably among The most important facets of any email advertising program now.

Unlike Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or through an Automation rule — that we will get into in a minute — and they don’t have any value besides what you call them.

Basically, groups are much more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber basis, whereas Segments allow you to bulge multiple contributors collectively based on a frequent denominator.
A tad confusing, I’ll admit… but I feel it’s a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. Besides, they are discretionary.
Finally, the’Fields’ tab is used to personalize your email copy.
You’ll notice that MailerLite has Already populated this area with their particular fields, such as title, company, and country.
If You Would like to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking on the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they actually work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your readers together with Your custom field information in separate columns… or can easily add these fields to your types which will only apply to future readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test field I made and added into a form:
I will not go too much to the shape Stuff here because I have a whole section on that below, but this is the approach I’d recommend if you wanted to use this attribute.
Again, once you’ve gathered your custom field data from fresh Readers, you are able to pull them into your email content and subject line.
Just click the’Personalization’ drop down and select your Customized field.

Again, while the template selection Isn’t winning any awards, but it will offer a fantastic foundation to work from if, like the majority people, you don’t have that pure eye for layout.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, though They finally do the same job; collect an email address.

Let’s start with your Bog-standard embedded form.
These forms are created inside MailerLite in order to get An embed code, which you can then place on your site to display it on particular pages.

While this isn’t the most In depth choice, they do offer a good base to work from and the editor is just as simple to use with this form type.

Considering paid programs like Thrive Leads exist for both ribbons and slide-in forms, it is pretty impressive to see this level of control over popup types.
And, like before, you can play the styling options to get it Matched up with your branding.
Finally, you can choose the near Behaviour of your form under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is that the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text option, or have .
This is really where most email Marketing platforms would render you, but MailerLite has one more trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like most tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Data in the dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from effort open and click info, Subscriber growth, automation stats, and kind signups.
Clicking into any effort will Give you specific reporting for that effort.
This is where you’ll discover some more advanced statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, studying environment, email client and much more.
This should be plenty of Information for the ordinary consumer…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, you can click into different areas of this report for a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems under These reports.

Total, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting port, and many will get the available statistics more than sufficient to meet their needs.
What’s email marketing without a dashboard of automation?
For most reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this particular review.
The great news? If you have ever used a visual workflow builder, then You will instantly feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, The automations interface is simple, clean and easy to navigate — something that certainly can’t be said for each and every email advertising software.
After establishing your trigger, you can begin adding steps to your workflow.
These measures can be anything from sending an email, including a Postpone, a conditional split, or an action, such as transferring a contributor or updating their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I set together, where subscribers Are unsubscribed when they do not open my email within 7 days.
There are innumerable Possibilities in regards to workflow automations similar to this, and MailerLite should not have any trouble with the vast majority of use cases.
Granted, it’s not quite as Feature-rich as something such as ActiveCampaign because it lacks a number of the conditional elements. (Split, Go To, Goal, etc.. )
For example, there’s now no automation for transferring Subscribers directly into another automation.
That being said, most of these activities can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into different groups that activate new automation workflows. It is simply much less efficient…. yet.
Another matter of efficacy here is when creating new mails In the automation workflow builder.
After having an email block to The workflow, you will be asked to put in your subject line which then appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking on the’Design email’ button will fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be briefly Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered earlier in the review.
This time, however, once you’ve created your email, clicking the ‘Done editing’ button will guide you back to the automations workflow instead of the usual sending options.
Ultimately, your email address will probably be Loaded into your automation.
A Wonderful touch here is having a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation block, so you can get an concept of what it contains at a glimpse.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on paper, it is actually much faster than what I am used to with other email advertising tools — ActiveCampaign being a fantastic example.
On the other hand, if you’ve come over from something such as ConvertKit where The editor is loaded inside the automations builder, so you will probably find this a downgrade in performance.
It is fast enough for me, Personally, but I guess it is all relative.
Before I wrap up this segment, there’s one Kind of automation You won’t find in MailerLite, and I think that it’s important to highlight.

And what about the top plans?
It turns out, at around half of the Cost of this rivalry on average, MailerLite is undoubtedly one of the least expensive options on the industry. Plus, if you are ready to pay yearly, you are also able to get an even better discount.
In Reality, I have not been able to locate anything that does exactly the Exact Same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is among those email advertising tools to disrupt The (very crowded) sector in recent years, and that’s no simple feat.
